    Taichung City is located in the geographical heart of Taiwan and is the second largest city since 2017 with approximately 2.8 million residents and a lot of storied, profound cultural heritage.     Taichung Railway Station

    In the past, the train station in Taichung was an old, elegant, Japanese-style building recognized as a top colonial landmark of Taiwan since 1905 which shared the same designer (Kingo Tatsuno) with Office of President in Taipei and even the Old Tokyo Station. Now the new Taichung Train Station which just beside the old one is simply stunning and magnificent owning a modern and fashion figure which attracts countless tourists every day.

    It is the first sky garden reconstructed from an abandoned railway in Taiwan and Taichung City, and also the only sky green corridor in Taiwan with a total length of 1.7 kilometers. Whether you come for a walk during the day or night, you will feel comfortable and create a low-carbon green life.

    Yi Chung Shopping Street and Night Market

    The Yi Chung Shopping Street is crowded with people every day, full of various creative and gorgeous delicacies, including chicken chops, braised meat, barbecue and etc. Not far away, there are several attractions such as Taichung Park, Taichung Confucian Temple, and department stores for tourists to venture.

    National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts

    The National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts was inaugurated in 1988 with visual arts as one of its main themes, the museum owns beautiful building and grassland, focuses on the collection, research, exhibiting, and educational promotion of Modern and Contemporary Art in Taiwan, and is dedicated to providing visitors with a diverse and professional space for appreciating art.

    National Taichung Theater

    National Taichung Theater is a new tourist spot and a landmark of Taichung City which designed by famous architect Toyo Ito and opened since 2015. This theater builds on the daring vision and bold spirit that have culminated in promoting the arts and life in both classic and modern styles. Its unique undulating curved walls unfold into sonorous spaces large and small, where natural transformations awaken visitors’ senses and instincts. There are numerous musical events, concerts, operas, and Taiwanese traditional puppet shows be held here almost every day.

    Calligraphy Greenway

    Calligraphy Greenway is an urban space structure shaped in a kind of long and wide stripe with two museums (National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts and National Museum of Nature Science) located on both ends, and a grass square in middle part which host Taichung Jazz Festival every year. Surround with various interesting shops and restaurant, the Greenway attracts lots of people on especially weekends.

    Dar-Ken Hiking Trails

    If you want to take a break from urban area, Dar-Ken Hiking Trails will be the first choice for you to walk into and embrace the nature. There are also different kinds of trails for hikers depends on its climbing difficulty.

    Wen-Xin Showtime Live Mall / Feng-Le Park

    One of the nearest department stores to National Chung-Hsing University is Wen-Xin Showtime Live Mall where you can go shopping, watch movies or dine in a restaurant with friends. Feng-Le Park is right next to the Mall, where displays outstanding works of Taichung's previous open-air sculpture exhibitions.
